2013 is off to a good start.
2013 is off to a good start. Within the past month, I had a couple of interviews, despite having been poorly-qualified for one of the positions. I have been applying to other jobs as well to diversify and minimize my dependence on the few job leads that I have had.
I am grateful for the help I have been getting from friends, mentors, and coaches. I would not have the said interviews, if it were not for my friends. One of the most important career advices that I learned in the past year is to never job search alone. I have been working with a mentee for a few months now, and I just found out that she got a job with a construction company as an environmental technician. I have also recently met up with an old friend to discuss our career paths and help each other.
Exciting things are happening all around, and I am sure there is something for me just a little away down the road.
